The New Nintendo 3DS XL is an updated version of the popular Nintendo 3DS XL, first released in Japan on October 11, 2014, where it is known as New Nintendo 3DS LL, in Australia on November 21 2014, and in North America and Europe on February 13, 2015. The system is backwards compatible with all Nintendo 3DS games but adds new features that were not found in its predecessors.
